Image and Title
The image above show a picture of David Beckham posing for Men's Health Magazine. He's positioned to the side of the magazine so all the articles are advertised on the magazine cover. This suggests that the magazine uses a very famous familiar face to bring more people into buying their magazine especially Men because the title "Men's health" suggests its subjected to men and as David Beckham being mostly an idol in Men's football would attract more men to buying the magazine.
Coverlines
On the front cover, it tells us about how to improve ourselves by reading up on the articles. This shows us that this magazine is to help men become fitter. By using famous sportsmen like David Beckham it's showing them how they should be having an "ideal body" like him so having coverlines like "101 ways to look great" is targeting people who don’t think they have the ideal body the magazine promotes.
Main Coverline
The main coverline"Style with Muscle" is positioned right next to David Beckham in big, bold writing. Different font size but not different colour or font. Suggesting that the magazine doesn’t need much colour to attract their audience type based on the theme of the magazine. Also, it suggesting that they want people to see more of David Beckham so they have him larger than the thing they want to promote in the magazine.
Language
The language they use to promote the magazine is informative and encouraging. By using words like "ways to look great" they are implying that there are more way to look better instead of choosing what everyone else does meaning that there is more hope for everyone instead of going and sticking with one way.
Colour
The magazine uses a limited amount of colour in their font. Meaning that they don’t want to add as much colour because they want the celebrity on the front cover to stand out more. David Beckham wearing a red jacket on a white background makes him stand out even more than the writing and because he is so famous it would make him instantly eye catching.
